Diff is out, thanks to a fellow mk2 enthusiast who just recently removed a diff from a junkyard and it was still fresh in his head. I just don't think my wee little arms could produce what was needed to break the damn things loose and I couldn't get a friggin' mallet in there.

Good luck. Truly "nice" Mk2s are starting to skyrocket in price. Expect to pay AT LEAST $4,500 for a low mileage, rust free car.
