Could be that wastegate talking ta ya :( Yeah the stock piping be a problem but not for what you are saying, bigger = better flow = more responsive boost.
Also keep in mind you have a .68 a/r hotside so you are killing top end but still it should spool faster! interesting.....
Alright well you have a good tranny (hopefully the R154) and a decent body. Search locally for a decent motor that is running because you can always refreshen it.
I'd go hunting aftermarket parts now like intercooler, turbo, bov and such and do it all at once.
You do have a daily driver...
quick street beater = 240sx not a supra :)
What year is the car? because if the computer is missing you might need to hunt that down and year does make a difference.
With the motor you will need a lot of misc. pieces like your maf, FPR, etc. The car was originally a turbo or NA?
I might have seen ya there haha I seen a couple big trucks but yeah I'll see ya out there this weekend.
Thanks, it's getting a new transplant soon enough :)
yeah that's the one.. were you there to see the integra each shit and crash?! haha typical ricer moment
Yeah man we'll be riding out there this weekend. 352-817-4650 that's my cell just text me
Awesome I thought I had to use T5-b or T5-a so I wasn't sure thanks gofast! Yeah the tuning I know might be different so I"ll mess with it a little at a time.
It says he lives in inverness...... not far from Ocala either, we do a saturday night meet up (starting to grow at least) you should come out even though you don't have a supra yet.. There are a couple guys who show up usually including myself with mk3's
welcome!
I'd shoot the 500 and see what happens.. I paid $650 for my NA and the top end needed to be put back together, brakes were shot (still acting up now :( ) and a few weeks down the road I did the HG before it blew.
Shoot for less and see what happens. I personally wouldn't pay more then $600 for it.
Now I am just doing this on my GE for now until I'm ready to build my turbo motor.
I have an APexi SAFC and all I see is the gte wiring. Has anybody successfully wired these into a GE and do ya have a write up? I'm a bit concerned because I know the harnesses and ECU are different.
Yea if I were you I would trust a vendor on here or the sales section. Unless the person you buy it from can vouch for the work done to it. I bought mine from a seller that had the turbo rebuilt via Mikes Turbo in Miami FL. Very well known builder using only garret internals.
Don't buy an...
I got mine to about 120 passing a porshe on the highway. We were messing around after I left off there he went doing roughly about the same haha No it wasn't a turbo, just an older one but still it was a porshe lol
MT ET Streets are real nice tires, used them on my old cutlass when I had it, really nice bite on both street and drags. Olds school Mcreay are great also :)
Can anybody identify this? Got it from a friend and the plastic piece looks worn, can it be replaced? Does our stock one have that on it or is that just an aftermarket feature?
Sorry for a crappy cell pic but it's the best I got right now until tonight but maybe somebody can figure it out?
