No I think something is causing the timing to retard. And trust me, if it was running lean enough to break up before red line I wouldn't have pistons anymore.
I'm honestly thinking it's something with timing. That's why I was wondering what the timing map looked like.. but I don't think 5000 rpm on up was all that different from the other rpm points at WOT
I'll have to get a fuel pressure gauge on my car at some point. Still doubtful on the fuel filter being at fault, even if it isn't a lifetime filter. (I still say it has a much longer use life than the standard can filters which most people run to 100k+..) BUT that's beside the point.
I will...
Good god man, you keep putting words on my mouth. Now get the hell out of my thread. You haven't said a damn thing that actually makes me want to go adjust my tps or change my fuel filter or check my cams.
I did the n/a cam swap. For fun. Just to see. As for the tps, it's brand new and I adjusted it correctly. Also. If it was sending the wrong signal to the ecu then unplugging it would make it run better. Would it not? The ecu doesn't need the tps to run..
And for the fuel filter it's a lifetime...
I am 100% willing to diagnose. I'm just not willing to waste my time and money doing it for things that aren't wrong. Fuel pump resistor not switching to 12 volts? Okay, I could kind of see that. Kind of. Not really, but I felt like I'd prove you wrong once. Then the fuel filter starving the...
No point in doing either of those. It's not fuel delivery. If that was the case then it would break up at full throttle, free revving, and then break up a shit load worse under boost. The tps is calibrated. Not that it really matters. Disconnecting the TPS doesn't change it.
It's not spark blowout. There's no reason for it to blow out at zero boost. And it's done it with two different sets of cams... And it doesn't do it at part throttle but does do it at full throttle.. No cats, and i have no idea last time the fuel filter was changed. Probably the factory one...
