ok i said fuck it and bypass the whole iscv. so it idles steady at 900 I caped off the accordian hose and the iscv and backed the idle screw on my 87 throttle body a few turns and it idles nice.
What i lost in doing this is when cold the car runs crazy rich do to the "fast idle" not being...
o well i just said fuck it and bypassed the whole iscv, i capped it off and just backed out the throttle body screw. It runs super rich at cold idle and when warming up,
but when warm its perfect and consistent.
Also i was able to take the car for a spin around the block for the 1rst time in a...
ok I'll probably take it out today.
it could be the ecu learning to control the idle ill start it up and let it run and get warm, I now get a code 43 no start to ecu signal but i strongly believe thats from the car being started with the pushbutton starter and not with the key.
Basically the...
yup 1rst tho im going to make a video to sho you guys exactly what the car is doing now with the diff idle everytime i start it . and then ill get to work experimenting.
if not then iscv is getting capped off, the acordian iscv hole is getting cap off and im just backing out the idle screw on...
ok like i said rite now the car is random at idle but almost like a pattern,
so i wanna see if its still going to be random when the iscv is unplugged.
it shouldn't since NOTHING will be controlling the iscv to move so w/e its going to be doing it should be constant everytime i start the car...
Bro you've been so helpful you dont know,
I did get rid of the code 11 with your help lol and overall learn how to and read diagrams etc etc etc.
I'm going to do an experiment tomorrow with the wiring for the iscv. The car right now is on a pattern and every time I start it and turn it...
ok i was confirmed from searching that not having a hac will not cause the idle issues and random idle that im having. The ecu and iscv is what controlls the idle. So if i bypass the iscv and cap it off and just back out the idle screw on my 87 throttle body and if the car runs fine then , then...
Not much of a frankenstein setup.
Car was originally an 87 5spd non turbo
motor is now turbo from an 89, the wire harness and ecu are from an 87-88 5spd turbo.
the harness plugs on the ecu plug on the ecu but where is the hac located? and would that still cause the car to idle the way its...
ok jet jock in my previous thread you posted me a link
http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/TechTips/engine_error_codes.aspx
according to this code 32 is the afm for a 7mge but the hac for a 7mgte.
short circut or open circut in the hac sensor signal
trouble area would be the ecu so the ecu is...
ok tried swapping diff afms, still code 32.
did the check by the ecu and everything is within spec except when the car was running only once did the voltage between 2-4v dropped below 2 and that was 4 a quick second at 1.5 something and never again did it do it the 4 times that i started and...
ok 1rst it was just a code 32 and i checked again to see if the tps was withig spec and it wasn't. When the throttle body was close it was not giving off any resistance at Idl-e2. I adjusted so everything was inspect and went to check for codes again and i have code 43 and 32. 32 is the afm and...
ok i kno the tps is from me and my friends messing with and just need adjustment, i unplug and just plug into a different tps and no more code 51 so now the only code left is 32,
i turn the carr off and one and 11 does not come back, if i take off the wire i have running from the battery it...
ight dumbo yea it was short i splice the wire directly from where it plugs into the ecu to about an inch from where the wireharness plugs into the fusebox, an inch along the engine wire harness side and it still put out code 11, I then had it running straite to the battery, no more code 11...
ok i match the batt wire on the ecu to the batt wire coming from where you plug the engine harness into the fusebox, time to go to autozone to buy some wire.
