Haven't had a chance to pull the cluster and figure out the CEL, but I did turn the fuel pressure down to 32psi w/o the vacuum line on. Was fine yesterday, 13-14 AFR idle/cruise but still went way rich under boost, but then this morning my idle/cruise AFRs were in the 16's?? me = confused...
Will do, I just found a writeup on using a 0-1V Autometer gauge with the LC-1:
http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/resources/autometer-integration.php
I'm going to flip the Prosport back to the 0-1V setting and give that a shot, let you guys know...
It's not an issue of them working, the output on the LC-1 is completely adjustable. The problem is no one at Prosport can tell me what range it needs to be set at to work with their gauge, ie-xAFR=0V, xxAFR=5V
I think the CEL is burned out (or removed), I don't see it with just acc power on. Should probably look into that.
I was thinking it wouldn't need to be tuned, stock injectors, ECU, AFM etc. but maybe so...
Wasn't sure where to post this, hopefully it falls under general discussion...
I'm trying to figure out how to scale the LC-1 output for use with a Prosport digital A/F gauge. I called Prosport and they said I should be able to flip the switch on the gauge to 0-5V AFR and hook it to Output 2...
Finally found the driver I needed and got the LC-1 hooked to my laptop. My prosport gauge isn't reading right, not sure why as I hooked the 5v out from the LC-1 to the gauge and set it for 0-5V AFR but I can't figure it out.
Anyways, on the laptop my AFRs dip into the 9's and 8's in some cases...
Fixed the coupler and did some more testing on the way to work this morning, still breaks up if I go WOT, but if I slowly roll into boost it does ok and pulls well. Any ideas?
Yea, I have the WB hooked up, AFRs look good.
And BTW-found the issue I think LOL--the coupler blew off the turbo outlet on the way home tonight, I think it was starting to come off and was causing a boost leak, at least that's what I'm hoping for... Does a boost leak feel alot like...
Found a HKS spring locally (Protech performance FTW!), will be here tomorrow.
In the meantime I hooked up my boost controller and adjusted it to 8psi. Horay-more ignition breakup :nono: Swapped coils to some I got from Tubbie and still no dice. I'm not really sure what else it could be...
Had a couple of Josh-style rum and cokes (half rum, half coke, I'm half cuban :biglaugh:), trying to forget about the fact that I spent 2hrs "fixing" my ebay wastegate and am still only hitting 5psi on the spring...
So I crossed 600mi yesterday and said screw it. Spent about 4hrs tonight putting the WG gasket on the right side and installing my LC-1. Went out for a drive and still only 5psi :( It gets there quicker but the WG is still pegged open and won't build anymore boost. Freakin' ebay crap...
Just didnt' run one :) My WG blows against the framerail. I'm waiting anxiously for a knockoff of the Greddy WG to come out, it's rotated 90deg from the HKS and will put the dump facing the same direction as the DP.
Checked my alt wiring, the colors are the same on mine between the 7M and 2J...
Cruise is usually in October so that might not work...
I just ditched the VSVs and clipped the wires back, the 2J ones are in different spots and I didn't feel like figuring it out. Haven't noticed any issues. As far as the temp sensors, they're both towards the front of the motor in the...
Cool, you should come down for the fall Hill Country cruise :)
I am running 7M electronics, and you can wire everything up before dropping the motor in no problem and then just run the ECU connectors through the firewall once the engine is in.
For the PS-I know your engine isn't there, but...
Subscribed :) Nice work so far, I'm liking the picture rich thread! Looks like I need to post more pics of my dogs to keep up :biglaugh:
You in Arlington VA or TX?
Nice work!! I started to collect 7M swap parts for my '87 4-Runner at one time but decided not to go through with it. I'm sure it's alot more fun than a 22re :biglaugh:
