I have made 15lbs of boost in 1st gear with my GT4067r 272 BC cams by 4500-5000rpm's. How do I know I roll at 1000rpms and then floor it and when I hear the 15lb wast gate opne I check the RPM at that very moment. I have checked the Boost gauge when the waste gate opens and it opens at 15lbs...
Keeping a good supply of oil cool is nerve overkill IMHO. I have about 9.5 quarts of oil each oil change of mobil 1 15w50 with dual filters and a 11x5x2 cooler.
I would go -10 regardless of power goals. there is no such thing of overkill when it comes to eliminating possible weak points with an upgrade. If you want flow go with as much as possible , and -10 is where it starts.
Those fail safes don't seem to work too well, but why go 160 because you will lose power since the stock ECU is set to run at 190 stock tune at that temperature
Those "J"unk "D"ilapidated "M"otors were the problem. Everyone thinks that anything that has a "JDM" means that it's the be it all end to being the best.rofl He could have bought 600.00 wisecos, 450.00 Eagle rods, and 1500.00 for a standalone, 130-200.00 for a metal head gasket, 500.00 for a...
Do this or forget about testing.....When I had a fresh rebuild the builder said he installed a new pump, but I had barely any oil pressure. I got a mechanical gauge and made him buy me a new one and pay for the install. With out a mechanical gauge you wont be as sure as you need to be about...
Resizing the rods and having the crank journals done all at the same time is necessary. The rest lies in using the proper oil and excellent assembly skills. Poor tuning will also cause rod knock from detonation.
Get the Spectre and call it a day! My intake and overall evaluation of how it performs leads me to believe that it is comparable to K&N. If it has to be a top tier name get the K&N. Trust me you won't be dissatisfied with the Spectre filters look and function. It filters and allows the car to...
