Are you just talking about the intake from the filter to the turbo inlet, or doing the ic pipes as well? I thought about doing the IC pipes, well the ones that are in the engine bay anyway as they wouldn't reabsorb as much heat as the metal pipes would, and would look a lot cleaner than wrapping...
I blame the fast and the furious, I'd rather people not know of supra's all together than thinking mine sucks because it isnt the mkiv.
Like when I was car shopping back in the spring I asked my friend if I should go for a 5.0 mustang or an "older supra" and he was like dude you gotta go for...
IIRC the targa models have extra bracing in the undercarriage to carry the extra load for when the targa is off. I would not recommend trying that, and it would be cheaper and easier likely just to find a supra with targa with no motor and just transplant your motor, or if you're a NA find a...
I'd pay around 70% of retail (including shipping and whatnot) if the part is mint. But there's still other things like rarity and availability that would factor in.
I've seen one on here for the turbo before, but even that was sold in limited quantities. You could check out the sogi cai mod.

Here's mine, wish I had a larger res version.

The front...
I've seen one on here before, it was a red supra. It was posted on a thread comparing the pre 89 with a shaved licence plate and the 89+ with the turbo A duct. I'll poke around and see if I can find it.
So will removing it bubble the paint, or does it basically depend on what you're running and how you drive? To me the thing always just seemed like a big blanket but I could see what super.secret.supra.club was talking about with how it could screw up the paint with the heat.
I hate that whenever some kid asks what kind of car I have and I say supra they're like OH COOL WHAT YEAR IS IT! Then I say 88 they're like oh..... :3d_frown: no respect.
I do get pulled off to the side often by middle aged dudes who actually know what kinda car I have, even in the piss poor...
