    I'm lucky, I live 45 minutes from a drag track, 1 hour from Road America ( 5 miles long ), and 1 minute from Auto-crosses in the summer.

    Well, I think its more of a personal belief. You have decided its not worth the risk. I have decided it can be worth the risk in few situations. People take risks all the time for their own enjoyment... its a part of enjoying life. If I lived my life not taking risks, then I'm not really living...

    It certainly is illegal for a reason. I agree with it being illegal. Thats just another one of the risks. There are far worse things in life IMO that are legal, most notably alcohol + cigs. The amount of people those have killed 2nd hand is far more then street racing, yet they are legal...

    Exactly. Honestly, I've had a Supra since 2002 and I've only raced it on the street ONCE, and believe me it was desolate. The people racing know the risks.

    It will probably do as much harm as good. People would be more tempted to run from the cops, which is far more dangerous then street racing ( Assuming the people do it in a safe area ). If they are retarded about it then they deserve it to be crushed. But yes that would suck.
