Megasquirts knock sensing is in it's final stage of Beta testing on the bench. All they need to do is hook it up to someone's engine, and test it out! I just talked to Matt at DIYautotune and that was explained to me. I just purchased my MSII for my 1JZ, and I can't wait to get it intalled...

Once you start "the surge," stopping it required you to let off the gas/clutch, or accellerate right? Mine does that too. I think it's my lead/insensitive foot that wants to give it gas when my brain told it to just chill out and go a steady speed.

I absolutely LOVE my targa. The feeling of it, is just brilliant, and it looks fawkin hawt. The turbo, engine, exhaust, wastegate, BOV, everything I worked on and put effort into, just sounds more alive. I appreciate it so much more. Targas are so nice IF you ever wanted to use it.

The money you will save by going MS, buy a wideband. No big deal. AEM around $250 shipped. Also, there are tons of other standalone maps that you can just plug into Megatune and drive to the dyno and get it tuned proper.

For steel, $200 is a good price. I'll put a steel unit on my MKII. I wanted aluminum, fully balanced. I bought mine from jawsgear. I'm still waiting on it to arrive.... I ordered it Sunday, so it should have shipped Monday, and been here today (Wednesday)........

Have you taken a look into a Megasquirt II board? Because if your guys can make one for a MSII... it'd be an instant winner. You'd sell 10 right off the bat.

It's just for piece of mind, IMO. It is not a bad thing to spray the gasket, very cheap insurance for just in case. With or without it, I can't tell a difference at all.

What additional features specifically can't be used? Oh tell me you can't just add some in... a wire here or there that hangs off the main harness for the operator to install any aux. items or triggers. It can't be THAT difficult :)

Make sure there are no gashes to the HG, meaning no little pieces that scratch your fingers as you run over it. Make sure it is CLEAN, between ALL layers. I used carb cleaner to break down all the oil, then used a water/detergent base to get the rest of it. Flushed in between the layers with...
