JARCO is where I got my "running" front clip. Yeah the engine ran before it was taken out of the clip. Had great compression results and was very clean.

Since you will be doing the swap yoursef and never done it before I would definitely research as much as I could about it. There are tons of info on it that you can find out from this forum as well as SF. Then if you decide that it is worth it for yourself then I certainly take my time and not...

I use what Toyota recommended. GL-5 SAE 75w-90 gear oil for tranny and hypoid gear oil GL-5 80w-90 for LSD diff. It works for me.

it's the water temp sensor that's in the water neck next to the temp gauge sensor. Picked up new 2J sensor from Toyota and it still leaks. Anyway, I will try to put some JB weld on it to see if it stop the leaks.

got a minor coolant leak coming out under the water temp sensor. tried putting teflon tape and silicone gasket around the thread but I think it got worse. any idea on how to stop this leak. thanks.

I have an Eibach Pro kit with KYB GR-2 gas shocks. It lowers the car 1.5 front and 1" in the rear. Not too low and it sure drives great with this combo.

No doubt about it - front clip will save you time and money. Lots of places to get it but few reputable importers out there so I'd very carefull in choosing. I got mine from Jarco - www.jarcoinc.com

That's interesting...now you will be 1JZ-GE...with no turbo. Hey if the engine still runs without it and no problem, why not ! this way you can still drive the car till money becomes available for your next turbo.

Why cut it? I mean how fast do you want go? Toyota put it there for safety reason. 100mph is pretty damn fast and anything above that is looking for trouble. I would never even try to hit the speed cut cuz I spent so much $$ on this swap to just blow it all up. Just my 2 cents.

I'm using 2J water pump and clutch fan with brand new OEM 7M radiator. Yeah it works great !!!! :biglaugh:
