Look for serious rust in the usual Supra places. Also check the floor pans, I believe the passenger side is more prone to rusting out than the driver's but it's still a valid concern on both sides. That's the main problem with old Toyotas that aren't either poorly maintained or 7M powered, rust.

You have to pull the motor, maybe drop the trans too. I can't remember for sure on the trans, motor definitely has to come out. Do a search on www.alltrac.net, there is a detailed write up for it. It's an AWD turbo car, that has MUCH more to do with gas mileage than the fact that it's a four...
