if it were me i would start with the safc because it is easier to tune, the afc also tunes timming but its intergraded in when you pull or add fuel... for example when you add fuel like +15% that would retard timing a certain degree, but i don't know how much exactly. then when you pull fuel...
i have a similar problem that i never figured out... wheres the fuel pump relay and do you have a wideband? when your car cuts out is your car going lean 15+ air fuel raitos? to test your map you can try unplugging it while the car is running to see if that makes a difference
do everything all those guys mentioned and get something like a afc to tune... tunning will net you more power than just slapping on those parts without a tune
i've also been told that there is a screw in chevy o2 sensor that will work, its a universal one that i think some have used... is there any info of this one?
an exhuast system shouldn't affect how high you can rev... it maybe your tach or ecu cuz i remember mine sometimes reving to 73 and sometimes only 68, more than likely its your tach
i had the same problem at one point, i replace the cable that went from the short part off the tranny to the guage cluster... what you can also do is spray lubicant like wd-40 or something similar in the end that connects to the short part of the tranny and just hook up a power drill to the same...
i would agree with every one... you should be some where in the 400s, why did you go 4" back to 3"? i would fix that and go back to 4" cuz i'm sure its gonna hurt your power
damn sounds like we both have the same problem... i never figured mine out either... does your run really rough and idle really low? mine runs super rich, in the 9 afr at idel then runs super lean 16+ above 3k rpms i'm thinking about replacing my 550s for the hell of it cuz that was the last...
