ok so the car is now fixed and its faster than ever... i had a replica spearco intercooler and coolez pipes laying around so i decided to finaly put it all on.. my car is no longer leaning out in 1st and 2nd gear, and it fixed my boosting problem, before my car would bost like 15 then drop to...
well you cant just take out fuel in higher gears can you? i thought you could only go by rpm range?? also i have drilled out the Jtube already.. i guess my next step would be try a fuel pressure regulator.. i really dont have the money right now though, guess i'll just be easy on her for a...
would getting a AFPR fix this problem? or does anyone think it could be something else? cause its running really rich in higher gears, just not in first and second.
UGH!! lol.... i was running my stock injectors and the lex afm and it never leaned out like this.. does anyone know what is happening? and yes i have a Walbro, but no FPR
so i installed 550 injectors and the lex afm. i also have a wideband and safc II.. when i boost in first gear it runs somewhat rich then as it hits higher rpms it leans out. it does this is first and second gear. in 5th gear if im at WOT the wideband shows a flat 10. so its leaning out in lower...
the wide band has been on the car for a while now.. no i didn't smell gas at all.. ANOTHER new problem... first gear at WOT it goes very lean and loses lots of power, but EVERY other gear runs perfect and pulls great..other gears WOT afr's are around 12.. why would first gear not be hiting the...
get a safc and wide band, take the unmetered air screw out of the stock afm and that will let you run more boost, but be sure you are watching your AFRs... i was running 17psi on stock afm and stock injectors
ok, i got the 550s put in, the lex afm is on. i started the car at first it had a hard time staying running, but then it finaly leveled out some. according to my wideband at idle the car is very very lean..its showing the - - - sign, i had to turn the safc up to 13-15% and then it idled normal...
ok, and given that they are down to the proper torque should the injectors be turning? thats what i want to know, should the injectors be turning some???? somebody has to know this
ok i got the injectors seated in the fuel rail, and i have it bolted back on to the engine...i tightened the bolts as tight as i could and i noticed the injectors will slightly twist side to side, but not back and forth... is this a problem?
there are only 2 wires per injector though..?? so it doesnt matter which wires get connected as long as the two injectors wires are connected to the two clip wires for that injector? and do i have to use a clip for that? or can the wires just be soldered together?
hey, i heard you are good at tuning the safc. i just got a safc II and wideband installed not to long ago, also i have a LEX afm and 550s. i was wondering if you were going to be at the chicago meet if you could help me dyno tune it? just let me know, thanks!
