Alright ill go try that tomorrow and report back here...
Hey man i appreciate it a lot with you helping me out, gave me a lot of useful information that
i didnt really know about and in turn will save me alot of headaches down the road.
All good, it happens lol.
&& what about sand paper w/ 1500grit?
Not sure i have fine steel wool, if i cant use the grit ill go buy the steel wool.
EDIT: Yea it was a stupid question lol.
I cant change the bearings for #1, that bearing is way different from the other ones, its really wide....
So when the plastigauge says 0.015 its actually like 0.01.5? If so that makes sense now...
Is there anything else i can do to open up that clearance just a tad for #1?
Basicly as far as the stock AFM/440's will take me before fuel cut.
Mods so far.
1.6mm MHG
57Trim CT26
Cartect Intercooler w/ Hardpipes
HKS SSQV
Gauges
Piston rings
&& Bottem bearing clevites
So 300-350 at most.
I really dont wanna have to take my crank to the machine shop if i dont need...
Yea thats seriously fucked up....
I would really advise you report this guy.
But sorry about the back pain man i hope its nothing too serious,
&& its expected of you to get in an accident? HE rear ended YOU, not the other way
around, what a complete ignorant asshole.
I would do...
Ohh ok i was like wtf...
But ok yea i mean if you got the extra $100 and dont mind spending it then go for it, ACT clutches are great.
the disk they use is super smooth, my buddy is got the same exact disk but just a different pressure plate.
And as long as you "Know" for a fact your not...
Ok so i've been having hell of a time with these clearances on mains...
My last thread you guys said it was way out of spec but yet
when i talked to toyota and my machine shop they said its within spec
but just a little on the high side...
I'd like some more assurance.
Brand new Clevites...
ACT clutches are great, dont get me wrong but for $800?!
&& idk but for some reason, on there site its $800, and on here driftmotion, EXACT same clutch for $575 lol?
Both are the TS2-HDSS, http://store.driftmotion.com/static/i-ts2-hdss.php
Thats odd?
Im guessing you have the R154, you...
Really? BHG?
I really hope your not in the mechanic career field and work on cars daily...
Your the kinda people who see a problem and make a huge assumption and not even try to
rule out other culprit aspects and make innocent civilians pay for huge jobs that DONT need to be fixed/changed...
Agreed, kinda where i was getting at as i aforementioned....
I didnt mean it by its impossible to do it yourself...
And CyFi6 its probably not a good idea to tell others that if there bearing is too tight
just sand it down till it fits...
If you had your block rebuilt there such as...
http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=FI&P=28
Check TPS(I know you said its "probably" from holding down throttle but you never know), check starter && starter ground wires, not to mention check if its got the correct voltage going to it.
Also what are your mods...
And to an extent i completely agree with both of you...
But if the material used on the 7M's were perfectly fine then how come when the JZ series came
they used MHG's?
All it takes is the AFR's to change drasticly over some odd reason, cause det and bam you got a BHG.
I'm not trying...
