I usually go into second then reverse on all standard cars I've ever driven. Dunno if I even have to with my Supra, it's an old habit from my Celica and it works pretty much every time for me. Sometimes I'll have trouble, go back to neutral, clutch out, clutch in, retry and that usually works...

While we're on the subject, what kind of flow numbers does the stock fan push? No fan shroud here, may switch over to e-fans if I can get ones that are actually an upgrade for a reasonable price, otherwise I'll just get a shroud.
