The difference between a Supra and a Cressida

As stated, the cressidas are 7MGEs with a stricter exhaust. We worked on a few cressidas in our time and even built a 400hp 5speed 7MGTE version with the supras LSD rear end. That car was faster than an equivalently built supra. Couldn't figure out why... but lot more unstable than a supra of...

MKIII Revolution complete overhaul. HUGE PIX (sorry 56k)

Yea, the black one was the one in chicago. It's modded out the bootie, but on stock pistons, so problems. My current mod list on the red one includes .17over ROSS pistons on stock rods and stock fuel. I'll take pix of the new mods and give a ful list when everything gets here. They include...

MKIII Revolution complete overhaul. HUGE PIX (sorry 56k)

Always working on other people's cars and such is good and all, but it's time to start my own project. Starting by doing a complete paint job. To save time and make it perfect, i'm getting the car down to bare chassis so the color change will be done to perfection. This is what she looked like...

    act unsprung 6 puck

I ran this clutch a while back, and it plainly sux if you're going to drive it in traffic and such. I don't care how good or careful you say you are... You just can't make it smooth. You can't slip the clutch... You have to try like IJ said and get it going just enough and let it go and drive...

    Wiseco Pistons and 9:1 CR

You must be planning on running crazy boost with that GT35R.

    Wiseco Pistons and 9:1 CR

Makes more sense if negative because the pistons are above the deck at TDC. Ok... that changes the CRs to 8.7:1 with 2mm MHG, or 9.3:1 with 1.2mm MHG. Still within good range for me with 2mm HG

    Wiseco Pistons and 9:1 CR

Cool... If my math is correct, with..... 83.5 Bore, 91 Stroke, 84 MHG Bore, 2 Compressed MHG thickness, 40cc Combustion volume, -16 Piston volume, and .20 Piston Deck I should be around 8.3:1 CR... Or use a 1.2 MHG and bring it up to 8.8:1 CR. hmm....

    Wiseco Pistons and 9:1 CR

This is a good article i found earlier that explains this, but i just don't have all the measurements.... http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/54258/ I was hoping some of the guys running the pistons could chime in.

    Wiseco Pistons and 9:1 CR

The wiseco pistons available for the 7M increase the compression ratio to 9:1 from what i read. Special orders need to be made to have stock compression. I've searched and seems a few people are running wiseco pistons. For the ones that are running it, what have you done about the compression...

What should I do with these rods?

Get the aftermarket rods and get the peace of mind. I'm also currently acquiring parts to build up another engine for my supra and have tossed up the same idea many times myself. I rather build a motor that can take a lot more power than what my goals are. This way, i know that as long as i'm...
