    Stock 906 rwhp 1jz skyline

When it's been daily driven/beat on for a few years, then we can make that statement, and I'll believe it. They're tough, but bulletproof they're not. ;)

why I will always keep my car 7m

Fun thing about gears, and how they work, is that even though my engine makes more power than yours, your car puts more torque to the pavement. If you swapped for the 3.73 diff from the later turbo cars, yours would seem rather sluggish compared. For an around town and track car, the 4.30 gear...

    groaning noise in rear

Check the diff fluid, gears that aren't properly lubricated rarely make pleasant noises... Might also be a wheel bearing, but I understand ours are quite durable, my money would be on the diff fluid being low and/or very much in need of changing.

That's what fender flares are for... ;)

    The sleeper

I do have a thread on the Chevy, although progress has been slow, given I'm a rookie with bodywork. Really just waiting on my brother to get his welder over here so we can patch things up... "Build" thread here...

    Supra Sucessor Confirmed! Read here:

Van, I remember that car... was pretty sweet actually. If nothing else, it was eerie, hearing it "hum" it's way at slow speeds, and suddenly try to rip your face off with v8 noises after the corner... Makes me wonder though, 13hp electrical motors in each front wheel? If not for moving the car...

Mkiv auto na getting an aristo vvti

Welcome to Supramania man, mind my asking what a car in such condition set you back? My old lady really wants a MkIV, and knowing me, I figure I'll end up tinkering with it on occasion even if it's her car haha. Might as well start planning a budget, right? Speaking of budgets, if you're...

Anybody know who makes this wide body kit?

Pretty sure that's gonna be a custom or modified kit. That particular car, if I remember, was on ebay not too long ago, for a princely sum. Pretty badass car though, turbo 2uz (4.7L v8), looks good too IMO. Anyway, welcome aboard.

    MK3 Supra vs Dodge SRT4

All the more reason to get the F out of Tucsuck. Mt Lemmon is honestly the only reason I can see any appeal to the place...

why I will always keep my car 7m

You know, all the diesel guys with their big badass trucks keep saying that. They keep muttering something else too, something about how they can't see my tail lights for very long because they get real small, really fast? ;) In fairness though, I don't often tow with my car, so... different...

    ***SM Member Horsepower List***

Seems like it comes on pretty hard right after 4000, you breaking tires free around then, or is it pretty well sorted? Also curious why you're only revving to 7k with your setup, and not really pushing the turbo much. I take it this was a baseline dyno just to see a low boost level? Not to rag...

Supra MK3 WINS KING OF EUROPE ,Round 6

Haha, I'll pass on that plane to Switzerland. The money spent on that could go a long ways toward making my car a better car for me. Besides, I don't know that I'd really want a full on race car (even if I had the means), they don't make very good road cars in most cases, and considering I do...

    Few buddies drifting....

Looks like you had some fun until kissing the wall... Kinda makes me wonder what the original owner would think, seeing somebody smash their brand new $25k+ car (back then money, at that) into a wall. :p

Furious But Lazy 7M owner who gave Up.

Used small gauge wire to hold the wrap on my downpipe setup Jordan, it blends in well enough you can barely see it, and has held good for over 2 years now. Kind of a pain in the butt, but it worked alright. As for the comment about the zip ties outlasting the motor, that's kinda sad, but at...

Hate to sound like a jerk here, but I think a Jeep forum might be a better place to post this question. I'd be willing to be money that you'd probably have an answer within a few hours if you asked on the right Jeep forum. ;)

    accusump??

That's pretty sweet sounding of a setup, and the Mk2 is a fun car to slide around (mine is the winter DD on occasion), but I have one suggestion: Make sure you run more oil than what the owner manual says to run. 6.5 quarts should be about right, as a base level. Add accordingly for additions...

    Drag and Street Suspension

I would check the dyno/racing section. There are a few people in there doing similar things, that might be willing to share their experiences. As for my only real point I can add, if you're going to be launching like that, and given the setup in the sig... you're going to need a cage sooner...

    Cross-member alternatives

Without a doubt. In no universe should a 2.0 ever be attempting to move a car that weighs more than 3000 lbs... OP, from everything I've come across over the years, you're pretty much on your own. IJ looked into the matter much more seriously than I did (at least I'm pretty sure he did), and...

What you didnt expect to find in your Supra

Are you talking the cross brace that goes between the rear suspension towers? If so, there are a couple methods I'd suggest: -Wires bent into hooks. -Alternatively, and probably the better idea, a small vacuum that can reach down into there. You'd be surprised (even at this point) of some of...
