I put this here because I figure this is where most of the na to turbo people would look for the fix, and where the people who have done the conversion and still don't have a working boost gauge. Sorry if its in the wrong place or a repost, but I could not find the info anywhere. Maybe it can...
Yea I was guaranteed a perfect fit when I ordered my body kit, and what I got was a one inch gap behind the driver door and a 1 3/4" gap on the passenger side door. Everything else fit perfect it was just cast wrong, the company did not want to do anything about it besides have me send them...
Well I can't seem to get any night pics of these. For some reason my camera really does not like it on any setting I try except with the flash on. I was messing with these for so long trying to get a pic I forgot about getting pics of the running lights.
Anyways to keep the progress going I...
Yep need one of those still. I am getting some more electronics to make some more pwm for the dimers and the regulators too. I make the pcb out of bread board and just solder the joints with high tin solder, its a pain to work with but very strong when it cools, just gotta make sure to do it...
For the purple/pink interior I think your best bet is going to be spend the coin and get some seats from either http://www.katzkin.com/ or http://www.leatherseats.com/. You might be able to bleach the floor white then dye it, judging by the white spots on Michees rear carpet that I would...
I made a model and rotation sequence for the Garmins and made this gif just figured I would post it for people. The small one is my avatar. The rims suck but I had to change them because the normal ones were too busy for the Garmin to display right. But I will get a better full render later...
Nope the waste spark system sparks on both if you take one off they both still spark so only the cyl you took the wire off will have a miss, and if it does not miss then you know that is one of the problem ones and you can focus on that. See if you can find out which ones are missing then shut...
Ok so I still not have had a chance to take a pic at night with these lights on. I have been replacing the valve seals in the blue car in the picture (my wifes car). I got them all done last night so I will get the engine back together and have it running again tonight just in time for night...
When I bought my parts car the kid had put some 3A Racing seats in the car. He got the universal sliders that need to be welded/riveted/bolted to the normal sliders. So instead of doing that he used the universal ones. He put a bolt through the floor and a 2 inch washer on the bottom side...
When I first got my car it had been sitting for 3 years, I changed the oil and coolant and drove the hell out of it ahaha. I was not worried about it though, if the motor went I would just replace it. It did not have any dry rot on the tires but they did have flat spots, a few burnouts fixed...
I had the same problem a few weeks ago on my wifes car, and did the same thing, swapped a ir from my parts car and no good, still didn't get the lights to come on. I tested the lights in my car and they were fine so I swapped the IR and they worked, the relay in both my wifes and the parts car...
I have a 3lb hammer, looks like a mini sledge with a 18" handle. Even with it you need to hit it very hard a few times. And I mean full force beat the crap out of it kind of swing, not too had when its on a lift, but I can imagine on the ground it would be hard to get enough force into the...
My worry about two layer cf targa would be the structural strength, cf targa is probably gonna be pretty flexible (in relative terms). The normal targa is heavy because it supports the car a lot. I would just be afraid with the cf part the body would flex like it does with the targa off, and...
:icon_bigg I was thinking the exact same thing.
I started off working in my parents' businesses in the summers. We had a few go kart tracks, movie theater, and a mini golf course. Then worked for my dads drywall company during and after high school for a total of 6 years. After buying some...
I have to replace the schrader valve in mine every 20th car or so I do. More often if I do a lot of wet compression tests. You can use a schrader from a tire but you will want to get one that is nickel.
Easiest test for the hg is going to be get a cyl leak down tester, hook it up to the cyls one at a time with the radiator cap off, if the hg is bad you should get bubbles in the coolant when the air is on on the tester. Really you can just hook a compression tester fitting to an air compressor...
Here is some info that may help. http://www.autoshop101.com/forms/h56.pdf Also what temperature is the car at, ie is it getting to warm operating temperature. A stuck open thermostat among other things can get you some strange readings.
