Well I got everything sealed up and put into the car. I got the new ballasts in the mail also, but the drivers side one is still not igniting on first try. I'm probably just going to stick with these ballasts until The Retrofit Source gets their new ballasts design in about a month and then get...
That sounds like a good deal.
This is really the only picture I have of my interior since I got the new Ebrake boot, shift boot, and armrest cover. Everything is original except the radio and TRD shift knob.
From the outside looking in.
Looks like mine down here in Alabama a couple...
I think the burgundy interior is beautiful when in good shape. Mine is nearly mint and I love it. It only looks bad when it is all faded and nasty. Mine is also in a silver car so not much different than a grey car.
Is it the whole car that has been in storage or just the interior?
This is what I used. You can use Dexron III, it is compatible, but I do not believe that Dexron VI is.

I had a really hard time finding vacuum lines for my car. The only place that had something close in my area was the Nissan dealer and the guy gave me a whole bunch of it for free because he said he hasn't seen a car that uses it in forever.
^^Nice!^^
I cant drive mine right now because I'm waiting for my replacement ballasts because my first ones didn't fire on the first try all the time but it doesn't look like they have shipped them yet. :: angry :: I may just put it back together so I can drive the car again and finally test...
Don't use an OEM filter, the WIX ones are much better. There's a thread here comparing the different brand of oil filter. As for the coolant Toyota Red, or Zerex G-05.
Indigo is correct. You shouldn't use the green coolant in these engines. You can use Toyota Red, or Zerex G-05. The Zerex stuff is recommended by a lot of intelligent members here. I've been running it for 2 years and its been good. Just make sure you flush the system out really well before you...
Looks like they did a really good job. Has the whole car been repainted before or is it mostly original?
I got a quote a few months ago to have my front and back bumpers along with the headlight covers painted (battery acid damage from stupid dealership I got the car from) and was quoted $1100...
Here's an update.
I ran the wiring harness, got everything hooked up, and tested the lights. Apparently The Retrofit Source's last batch of ballasts has had igniter problems in a small percentage of them and mine were included so basically it was causing my HIDs to not fire up the first time...
Its nice to see someone who starts out doing things the right way.
I assume by rubber plug you mean the one at the back of the motor that caps the coolant line? If so I definitely recommend replacing it. Mine started leaking as soon as I flushed the system.
I would also replace the spark...
Got my harness in the mail today, it wasn't supposed to ship until tomorrow so I'm happy. This means I should be able to get these finished this weekend and hopefully some pictures up by early next week.
Yeah, I'm going to check the rotation on them before I really tighten down the lock nut on the back. Then I will use the left/right, and up/down adjustment on the headlight bucket on the car as needed.
Yeah I will. I'll get out my real camera instead of my phone and get some shots of them when they are finished and sealed up along with some output and cutoff shots. Hopefully my harness comes in soon.
