Hot starts can be fuel related.
The fuel in the rail/injectors can hot soak vaporize and cause a vapor lock.
The stumbling then results from some injectors flowing fuel and some spraying vapor/misfiring.
It makes sense that it remedy's itself after a moment letting the fuel pump catch up.

Must have covered it in gasoline or something, I can't see a mouse staying aflame that long.
