Yea I have an aftermarket boost gauge. The was the first thing I got when I had my motor swapped. I am going to get new spark plugs and wires soon though. Thats on my to do list.
The guy that swapped in the 1990 7mgte motor into my 1986.5 7mge chassis used the 1986.5 wiring harness. He just said that its ghetto rigged. Which harness would fit right without me having to chop it all up and ghetto rigging it?
Dude pay attention. You're running just about what Im running except you already have the metal headgasket. So yes, you can turn up your boost a little bit.
Well that explains why my car runs like sh*t! Thanks Shaeff. Ive been trying to figure out where all my power was because I use to have a completely stock 1987 turbo targa with a blown headgasket that would murder my current supra!

Yea I know. Im going to get aorund to that. The guy I got the car from gave me a GReddy 2mm headgasket. Brand new still in package. He paid like $320 for it. So Ill probably have that put on when I get the engine rebuilt. Im trying to wait to have it rebuilt because Im saving up so that when I...
I have a 1986.5 supra. It was 7mge-T from the last owner but it was completely ghetto rigged. So I dropped in a 7mgte. It's all stock except a 3in downpipe, custom 3in exhaust, and hks ssq bov.
Can I turn up the boost to about 10psi or do I need to drop in more supporting mods first?
The check engine light is on in my supra and i ran the codes. I got the knock sensors and tps codes. Could one sensor be effecting the other, meaning something being wrong with the knock sensors setting off the tps or the other way around?
And where is the rear knock sensor located? I was...
