Thanks for the video, I bet its cool watching the gauges move so quickly as you drive. I'm contemplating one for my car, I always thought the digital dashes from that era were cool. Since my car is N/A though I would probably end up with an unused gauge and electronics kinda scare me. :)
That sucks about the broken one. So probably about $500 if you only have to buy one, that's about what I was expecting. It looks so cool, I'd love to see the videos when you get a chance to upload them.
Wow, nice write up and great job on the project!
You have any more pictures or maybe a video of all the gauges moving?
Also, if you don't mind me asking how much did this whole project run you approximately?
I think there are probably a lot less of these cars still out there than there were even 5 years ago. Even I have noticed the lack of stupid threads lately like "how do I get SUPRA to make 3000hp????" and I have only been here for 3 years. The cars got super cheap, people bought them, wrecked...
Drove it today with the windows down, it was almost 70* here today. I even made it home right before the thunderstorm, so the Supra was safely tucked in the garage.
Yeah, if you know what you are looking for and stay away from the garbage stuff ebay is a good place to get stuff. It just tends to get a bad image. Ebay is also great for used parts if you cant find them on the forum.
Glad to see you got it running, hopefully the new compressor fixes the AC problem. I know you are going to need that down here in the south with our humidity and heat during the summer.
This is all true and a good point GrimJack. I know without this forum I would probably have all kinds of strange little problems with my Supra that I was only able to figure out because of the other members here. Just like 7M4EVER said, thanks to all that run this forum and make it possible to...
Yes, there is a solenoid in the projector that will pull the shield down to give you high beams. $40 for a pair of projectors is awfully cheap. I would be worried about sub-par parts at that cost. These are my 4300k bulbs in my Mini H1 projectors.
This is below the cutoff line.
And this is...
Very nice build! You and your brother both have some super nice Supras. I'm also glad to see you didn't give up after the accident. So many people do, and it is quite sad. I also really like that picture in your signature, that's a great picture.
Very nice car and build. I really like the MK2 Supra as well as the MK3. You plan to put the SUPRA stencil thing on the rear hatch? I always really liked that on the MK2's.
