yes
but the code 34 is simply "fuel cut" nothing you "do" will clear that code....you need to just set your boost lower then fuel cut...thats all. so yes deshimming it a bit should fix it.
fix the KS the right way and clear the code 52 and i promise your problems will be solved ;)
um is it a surprise that a car with probably 100hp more beat out another car?
if you seriously think they were both 700hp youre insane. the sti trapped 145 while hitting the damn brakes well before the finish line...and the supra only trapped 141. that sti was probably around the 150mph at...
ummm unless i read something wrong...you have a code 52 still.
its NOT a boost leak...the ecu is retarding the timing like crazy under boost due to the code 52.
the turbo will spool and it will sound like it should be going somewhere but it will be slow as balls....
fix the knock sensor...
what i do is put one multimeter lead on the sensor and the other to a ground and then tap the knock sensor on something metallic....if i get voltage on the MM then its good.
very rarely will a KS go BAD....not counting them breaking physically lol.
the knock function on the afc2 is 100% utterly useless....i dont even set them up anymore for cars i install the unit on. apexi themselves dont know the scale of the readings.
i would just completely forget about it. its about as useful as a wet paper towel holding a bowling ball. ;)
you know i stopped reading after i think the first sentence. i dont care to read any of because the fact of the matter is simply this:
you CANT sit there and tell me im WRONG about MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCES with things i have done. i am here saying "I HAVE REMOVED THESE AND THERE HAVE BEEN NO...
are you kidding? how exactly am i WRONG? what am i wrong about? that if you remove said items the car will run and start fine? thats funny because every car i have done it to does just that. RUNS AND DRIVES FINE. in CT and in FL in every seasonal situation between the two. Am i saying EVERY...
*sigh*
im not going to fight with what you THINK happens when i have had first hand experience with what DOES happen when these things are removed. HOWEVER i would like to say that i dont consider it taking 1 second longer to start or 2 cranks more to start being a negative effect. so maybe we...
kind of...the koyo for example requires a few things.. it doesnt come with a cap (at least not the 4 ive seen) and it requires you get a plug for the bottom. the koyos are really made for the 1JZ so it has a spot for the hydro fan sensor that if you run a 7m you need to plug etc.
the...
the main two questions i would ask are what size is the TB and what size is the turbo you are running.
those will pretty much determine what size piping to run...
come on man get off the high horse for a second and understand that not everything toyota put on the car is NEEDED or for that matter CORRECT.
must be just as smart as those same engineers who torqued that hg right? :nono:
that vsv can be removed with next to no ill effects in my...
why? i live in fl and have not had a fuel vsv or egr vsv on my car for almost as long as the 6 years ive owned it.
same with a lot of my friends... no problems here. some of the things toyota did on the car are simply overkill.
hey bro...if you want to make the drive to tampa i have a rear glass you can have for free. PM me if youre interested. it would have to be in the next week or two at the MOST as im junking the car soon.
2 quick things that will make your life easier...
dont worry about touching the driveshaft...it will slide right out when you pull the engine and tranny out...
instead of removing the hood completely just unbolt the struts and flip it up onto the windshield (put a towel between the hood and...
