thanks for the info guys. i have a air compressor so ill be using that to keep the valves from falling in the cylinder and ill be sure to have a magnet handy to get the keepers after i compress the springs
alright thanks guys for all your help. im going to be replacing it wit the engine still in the car, after reading all your explanations i have a few questions:
how do i know when the piston is at TDC?
is there a specific sequence that i need to change them in?
so i need to do replace my valve stem seals so i wanted to know if any you guys had any trick, tip, or suggestions. also if any of you know of a "how to" thread that would help alot.
very true i experienced this the other day when i down shifted in to 3rd in the middle of a turn and my rear suddenly began to slide out. and i believe they are 14/10 not 12/10

oh dam! ya im guessing my not that bad i aint losing that much oil but probably was low by a qt and a half wen i changed it so ill just replace the valve stem seals just to solve the problem or rule it out.

thanks for the input. from what i noticed it i dont get much if any water coming out the exhaust and ya it goes away as soon the car warms up but ill pay more attention to exactly how much water im getting out the tailpipe.

thanks guys, i dont think its a bhg because the previous owner had it done about 2 years ago and its been sitting in his backyard for about two years, but then again i wasnt there
so when i start the car a lot of white smoke comes out my exhaust and it wont stop till it the engine is fairly warmed up. i know white smoke can mean a blown headgasket but i dont really think thats whats wrong. is there anything else that would cause this? maybe blown valvegasket?
