Go to a knowledgeable race shop, I have had no good experiences with regular machine shops. They usually only do domestics and can really f-up the work.
Make sure you know what RA they are capable of before taking anything to them if you are having machining done.
If they blankly stare at you...
Can you hear the HDD spinning up?
or
BIOS may be corrupted or in need of a reset.
The CMOS battery is either located under the keyboard or through the bottom.
If you press F2 can you get into the bios?

Might want to listen to GJ on the mobo, I have never owned a Gigabyte one so I can't comment on that.
Components are damn cheap these days for what you can get.
What about the HDD? Are you moving up to serial ATA or not?
How do you think for 1 second that a gasket and some fastener hardware up top is going to change your oil pressure at all?
