R154 gear ratios.

I've got my R154 apart, been rebuilding it for a while.

5th gear has 29 teeth, the counter 5th has 43 teeth.

29/43 = 0.674 5th gear. I thought the r154 was supposed to have a 0.753 5th?

Um... what am I not taking into account here?

Ok, for anyone else confused, I went and did what I usually do when I get confused - I start over from scratch

I *assumed* (yeah, yeah) that the input shaft to counter gear shaft was 1:1. It's not. It's actually 38 / 34 = 1.17 ratio.

1.17 * 0.674 = 0.753 5th gear. False alarm
