We dont have shit out here for gas. I'd have to travel about 50 miles just to get any kinda gas above 91 octane. I dont even know where I can get some E-85 at. So I might have to opt out and get a meth kit.
Suprafanatic made 471rwhp with a similar setup with a big boost leak. Actually I...
I'm curious to know if someone can give me a ball park figure of what kind of rwhp and torque I can expect with the following setup that I am in the process of putting together.................
Head-
Ported and Polished
Fully CnC'd
3 Angle Valve job
BC Springs and Retainers
BC 264 Cams...
I cant remember for sure but I think the sp61gt has the same A/R as the ct26. I just know that it pulls HARD and spools pretty damn quick. I have it on with just a 3in exhaust and K&N filter and it feels like the ct26 on steroids.
what a gorgeous car man. i'm debating on starting a 2jz swap in my mk3. money has been my issue in the past but things are about to change! your car just gave me a ton of inspiration to start mine
I've gone up to 138 mph. stock 1987 targa top turbo with 3in exhaust, stock blown ct26, koni's, and intrax springs. Felt pretty good......... until my turbo took a shit lol
So I fixed the issue. It was indeed because of where I placed the oil drain line. So I routed it to a drain fitting on the oil pan. Everything works great now.
This turbo feels sluggish right now, I think maybe it's because I'm only running 10psi until I install my rc550s, which I hope to have...
aww damn. well that's most likely my issue. i never knew about that pressure port. thanks for that info. im in the process of switching the setup around and starting it up again so we'll see what happens
I personally haven't ran it, but i've talked to a few people that have and they love it. I'd say get the driftmotion kit because everything is there for you instead of having to piece together a kit. And the 67mm will carry you a a little past 600hp if you go that high
damn. ok well im going to tap a whole in the pan for a drain and use it as an oil drain line and try that.
how would that port under the oil filter spot be a pressure port? it looks just like the stock oil drain on a turbo block?
And if it is a pressure port, what is it for and why is it...
i was told that i should have to change the restrictor on the turbo since its the same one that comes in all the sp61gt's and this turbo is the bolt-on for the 7m so it shouldnt need to be messed with. and the oil drain line is free of all debree
I'm not sure what size the lines are. They are the lines that come in the oil line kit with the turbo when you buy it from Sound Performance.
The return line is a stainless steel softline from a ct26 softline kit. I cut the fittings off both ends and connected them to 2 drain fittings. I...
So i picked up an sp61gt dbb turbo. When i start it up, all the oil goes straight out of my exhaust. So I'm thinking maybe I need a smaller restrictor. Here's the thing....... I'm using a ge block and my oil feed line is ran off of the oil pressure sending unit. Could anyone tell me what size...
