If your a/c is blowing hot already, you probably don't have anymore freon in the system, at least not enough to put a hole in the ozone layer above your house. Just open it and vent it, then take it all out. We won't tell anyone..... :biglaugh:
I can just imagine it.... Joe blow goes around stealing all carbon fiber parts from every car he can see and sells them to duane at wholsale. Recycled carbon fiber headlight covers, anyone? :biglaugh:
Yes, hotwire 0-5v is what's used for the flapper. I used it on my NA engine with the flapper. Only difference is that the NA 7M flapper is a 5-0v, so check yours to make sure it's not 5-0v.
Here you alls go........
I've been asked for this several times so I decided to do a write up on how I have done mine.
The Nissan TPS uses two 3 wire connectors on it. One is on a short section of harness about 6 inches long and handles the actual throttle position signal and the other made to...
Maybe he's thinking about it like the MK4's old saying; "what does a 600, 700, and 800 horsepower supra have in common? They all run 10 sec 1/4 miles..." :biglaugh:
New fan clutch is $70 (lifetime warranty) from auto parts store, don't waste the time getting one from a junk yard and then if it is dead too, now you have two dead clutches and wasted time and money.
I have an early 89 with all grey plugs. I used an 88 harness with all yellow plugs. They all plugged together with no problems, but that big plug in the first pic, I had to move some pins around cause a few were in the wrong places. I have like 3 or 4 wires that were not used.
What I would do is instead of buying a used motor from an importer, I would jsut get a newly rebuilt long block from places such as Jarco. $1500 for basically a brand new motor. Warranty plus it's a new rebuilt vs the 40k-60k miles (BS!) engines from japan.
Find another shop to do the tint. The guy quoted you that and after he looked at your car, just didn't want to put the time and effort into it. Supra defroster lines are the same as any other car.
