the none clarity of both of you (Nick M being Ambigous and you replying to his Ambigous statement which without ratio information, should have been called out prior to responding for clarity sake)
Actaully no.
The drive shafts spins according to the ratio of the gear selected.
so in fourth being 1:1... for every engine 1 RPM the shaft spins also 1 RPM.
1st = 3.25
2nd = 1.95
3rd = 1.31
4th = 1
5th = .73
1st engine speed at 3250 = 1000 rpm drive shaft speed
2nd Engine speed @ 1950 - 1000...
Proof? look up there new car warranty even on FFV in EU. They have "X miles/Y years". Not "X Miles/Y years only on gasoline, E85 voids warranty". lol.
Or John Reed's, Or X-Man, or or or. And they do run E85. Some for quite some time in lots of different cars to include nice "italian" rides ;)
In short,
most wiring can be submerged in Gasoline. The issue will be the quality of the crimp. Crap crimp will cause elevated tempratures at the crimp point. This is where you really want a quality crimper.
pS for Mil-spec wiring to include the FAR approved wiring.

ick
Tefzel (ie spec-55) is actually crap. Especially when compared to the new stuff.
why is it crap?
Instead of going into a long winded post

3ms?
Holy crap that is a massive amount. I have calculated lots of ignition coils and rarely do they go above 2ms. If in fact the dwell is 3ms and it ran in the past. Then that points to the coils being fried. WAY to much dwell. Reason is. after the point of coil saturation, the current...
well it depends.
You can...as long as you stick to E85 EXCLUSIVELY.
Otherwise the way to go is Flexfuel sensor and an EMS that accepts that sensor output to adjust Ignition timimg and Injection PW% based on E%.
what????
FFV = Flexible Fuel Vehicle.
Meaning it can run on Gasoline all the way to E85 or any cmination in between. That is what the Flexfuel sensor is for?
Ok, now I am curious.
Why exactly do FFV which are designed to run e85, end up with trouble if they do run E85?
I am going to keep...
Ron
you are going to do PWM on it right?
If so, that is the best option as the solid-state relays can be fed a high Freq signal to control the speed (no higher than 240 hz) . :) In your case from the ADL as that has a PWM output. Just create a 2d table.
Temp/MPH with the Cell = PWM % in...
Don't need to. You are the one pandering that E85 breaks things so the burden of proof lies on you to actually prove that it infact "breaks" things. You can not prove a negative (ie Proof that it does "not" break things). ;) I am sure all the people running E85/E100 would love to peer review...
the way that system works.
The VSV lets the engine pull the valve open after a certain temp which is controlled by the TCCS.
If the valve is open, coolant is always flowing through the heater core (qualifiers; unless the heater core or that subsystem is clogged).
The only time this is an...
