Looking good Ken. I'm going to get rid of my Tein coilovers and buy some Eibachs per the recommendation from supraguy. I want my car to ride like a sports car and not a tractor.........lol
Got a call from Walker today. He's had my car for a week, but he just got through with his other projects today. He's getting started on mine and will hopefully have it finished in a few days. He's pointed out a few things under the car that I've got to fix. The plastic part that holds the fuel...
I dropped my car off at a local shop to have brand new 4" exhaust from the turbo back. I'm also getting new cold side intercooler pipes made from 3" aluminum. Should look good when he's done. Once I get it back, I'm going to try and replace all of my bushings. Can't wait.
I also bought the new rubber/ plastic pieces that go in the hatch to make them stop squeaking. In my package from Aaron at Driftmotion was a cool key chain that looks like an actual Tein coilover with the wrenches, and two pieces of candy. How can you beat service like that? You can't. It's like...
I got the car dropped off. Now I've just got to wait for him to get through with it.
I got a few things in from www.driftmotion.com today.
Sorry for the humongous pictures. It's been a while since I posted any on here and my photobucket is in the XL mode I guess. lol
First thing in the morning, I'm dropping my car off for the new exhaust and intercooler pipes. Can't wait to get it back. Hopefully, Walker doesn't keep it longer than a week.
You know you're welcome anytime you want to come George. I will tell you that my golf game is pretty good right now, so you may end up buying the Jim N Nick's barbeque..........lol
I'll make sure Vonda makes you some bananana nut bread to take back home with you. Should be a good trade for both...
Thanks Justin, that's exactly what I wanted to hear. I've been looking at that setup with the Eibach's and Illumina II's. I just want it to not look like 4 x 4 mode and ride better than a tractor. That's not that much to ask for.
Girls lost in the first round....25-22, 25-19, 25-21.........at least that means I get to play golf tomorrow. Tuesday can't get here soon enough. I'm ready to get this stuff started on my car so I can get it back home and start a couple other projects.
I'm thinking about removing the Tein...
I planned on going. My wife and I was going to ride over to meet up with George, but it rained all night and morning here in Bama. I have my MT et streets on and I won't drive in the rain with them. I've since switched to the Nitto 555r's.
I'm going to Huntsville today to the Von Braughn...
You know it. I feel like selling it every now and then, but just can't pull the trigger. I'm getting a few things done to it next week like new exhaust and ic piping. I've noticed a few mustangs and challengers getting the big head around here and I think they need a blue imported stripe down...
I live north of birmingham about twenty minutes. I live off of exit 289 in empire. about an hour and a half from you. I'm hoping to make 700 when all of this is done, but I'm not sure if I can do that on 93 octane and methanol. I will probably run race gas the day I go tune it just to see what I...
I got a call from Walker today letting me know all of my stainless steel came in today for my 4" exhaust. I can't wait to get all of the little things fixed and then back on the dyno.
Thanks Ken. I'd read every page of that thread you listed. Looks like it's a slow turn around. I'm thinking about just getting them from Aaron if he has them in stock. They're made from a different person, but I'm sure they're very similar.
Has anyone ever changed out all of their bushings for newer ones? If so, how did the car ride afterwards? Is it worth all the effort? I want to order new bushings for my car and have them replaced, but I'm not sure the rewards are going to be worth the effort. Thanks, Jay
