I'm in the Huntsville area as well. I don't know of any shops personally, but Suprahero might. He's in the Birmingham area and knows a few shops down there I believe.
You might be able to pull out just the knob or whatever it is exactly that you need from a radio at a junkyard this way you don't have to buy a whole radio again. The radios on the 3rd gen 4Runners look almost identical, they just have a different plug on the back because they are externally...
I think some GM wheels are the same bolt pattern, but they're kinda ugly most of them. I think you named everything that will fit on that truck. If you live near a fairly large city you should be able to find something decent on craigslist. I'm fortunate to have Nashville, Birmingham, Atlanta...
That's weird. I don't think I've ever seen a build here called "done"... I also need to get my bumpers painted, but can't seem to find a shop I trust enough to work on my Supra.
You sound like me. People kept asking what year my car is so my plate now reads "SUPRA87", but it doesn't stop them from asking... Even when they are standing behind the car.
I assume he has the Tundra Brake upgrade? If so that's what I've got on mine too and they clear with no issues. Thanks for the compliments. That's pretty much the same reaction I get from anyone who is into cars/trucks when they see the wheels. I think I did good haha
I agree. I had a pretty...
Yeah I know what you mean. I don't want it to come out looking cheesy or ricey. I've seen a few Tacoma guys do it and it can look pretty slick if it's done right. Here it is on a black Tacoma. I think his came out very well.
It's not that bad to replace. I did a write up on replacing it a while back when I did mine. It's even easier to replace if you go with the braided line from driftmotion I believe.
Yeah I kinda amazed myself looking at the differences in the two pictures haha. I had forgotten what all I had done to it. I didn't realize how dated looking those wheels are until you said it, they do look very early 2000's. I love these new wheels, they're the wheels off the new Trail Edition...
Thanks man, I'm super happy with the way they both came out. I think it really sets mine apart. This is the earliest picture I could find of the 4Runner. She's come a long way since then.
Yeah they are! You beat me by about a week to getting your's put on. I was waiting on the guy I was buying them from to get back into town. It was a long wait, especially after I had my new tires sitting in the garage waiting to be mounted haha. Definitely worth it for the price I paid though...
Not too much going on with the Supra. I had another bad set of Ballasts so I just replaced them and the lights are working alright for right now. A few days ago I placed an order for a set of ST sway bars. I only paid $242 shipped for the front and rear brand new!
The 4Runner got some new...
That's an interesting thought, I'm sure someone out there with bodywork skills could do something. But at that point it may be worth it just to have a completely custom spoiler made instead.
Yup, that's the issue. Everyone that has one payed to play so they don't want to have a whole bunch of replicas out there running around when they payed $1k+ for theirs. It's a good thought, and if they reproduced them I might buy one just to have in-case I would ever put a wing on mine because...
I would recommend buying the samples from RedLine and matching them to your interior. That's what I did, and it turns out the "Saddle" is a great match tot the burgundy in my 87. You get the money back from the samples when you order the actual covers too.
For the knocks over bumps that may be your subframes. Retorque them and it may go away, mine did. There's torque specs in the TSRM, it's a maintenance item that is commonly neglected. The full lock turn knocks are probably the little caps that go over the steering stops, they break off because...
Awesome! Once you get her painted and the MK3 all put together you need to get a shot of all your awesome Toyotas lined up.
Sounds about right with the LEDs... My power antenna on the Supra wasn't going all the way up so I bought a new cord and drum, it's been working fine now and the new...
