1.Got to agree neither look like a map sensor the map sensor will have nipple on it for a vac line to go on.
2.The oil sensor you have there is one for a 7m some people do use them to be able to get the oil gauge to work on the gauge cluster.
3. what tlo said
If is like any of the Toyota dealerships around here, they will have no idea what you are talking when you say 1jz. Remeber that is JDM motor alot of dealerships haven't even heard of it. Or they will try to say it is a 2jz, you will have to rely on the forums and other people to help you out...
I don't question being able to say that there is 16k of work and parts in the car. i'm saying it is odd if not down right fishy that a shop did this. i understand they are new shop and they want customers to be happy, but when does let credit go to 16k just for getting customers in the door...
Agreed as i keep saying this just don't feel right in some way. I hate they got ripped off, if it happened that way, but you they should have known better or at least took a step back and wounder about the money.
Now if you are following the story people want to know the amount of money the need to give to pay this months rent on the shop. Also trying to get the shop on : fox news, howard stern, and Jay Leno.???
From reading your post i'm going to assume that you see what i'm saying it doesn't add up at all. Kinda seems fishy plus they are now getting radio time and will end up with a spot on the 5'o clock news. I hope that it is true and that they get some money back and the kid gets whats coming to him.
