changed plugs, runs rough, then dies??

clean, just old...bosch platiunms, yuck. the diode was recessed into the plug a lil bit, that's all. werent black or gummy or anything. she seems to be running ok now after i tightened the throttle cable contraption down. she has a tiny hiccup here and there, the AFRs seem a little high yet...

changed plugs, runs rough, then dies??

yup...checked all that as i was taking it apart, no vacuum leaks either. i noticed that the throttle arm(?) that connects to the cable assy has a very low tolerance to being re-positioned so maybe it just isn't holding it @ idle as the same place it was before.. know what i'm saying there? haha.

changed plugs, runs rough, then dies??

i just changed my plugs and wires (autolite @ .030 & 7mm wires), put it all back together and now it starts up just fine and runs smooth until the wbO2 finishes counting down. AFRs hold @ 16.00 (wierd) and drop to normal operating range (14.5s) when i blip the throttle. after the idle settles...

yo Sil, i guess that clicking was my spark being blown out...that's prolly the cause of the hiccups. still need to change the pump & injectors tho...FP drops a little bit appearently.

    benefits to electric fans?

yeah man, i was just gonna do a fan delete and throw an electric one in the stock location behind the rad. i didnt even consider throwing multiple fans in diff locations...that and i'm just retarded today. it took me a couple reads to figure out what you were talking about in that previous post.

    benefits to electric fans?

thank you guys very much for the great input, is there a particualr CFM range that is ideal? also, does this in anyway affect EGT and if not, what can potentially lower it? Although 1,300-1,400 degrees is avg hwy cruising temp, that's still something i would like to reduce if at all possible...

awesome! thanks a lot...i really dont know a lot about this stuff (obviously), so i'm gonna try that out and let you know. That should be fine till i get some 550s, yes? I'm gonna have a look around for the stock AFM as well just to be more on the safe side.

chugging under heavy throttle in higher gears

hahaha...oh man, i'm sorry...total misunderstanding. i can totally see the WB while driving. under WOT @ full boost it dipped into the high 9s...9.9X area...that makes me feel a bit uncomfortable so i don't push it. the highest i've seen it read is 16.00 but that's only during decel.
