dumb question I can't find the answer to. ...will a 5MGE front sump setup work on a 7MGTE? I have a cressida and I don't want to bother trying to find a cressida front sump 7M.

Yep, it was for testing with a switched source because the current wiring had the fuel pump somehow running with the key off and out... So in order to turn the car off I'd have to pull the battery. But my water pump is fucked, so I have some bigger issues than this for right now. :/

plugs should be fine, it ran great in the front clip with the same plugs. maybe 1 or more are fouled? and you wouldn't happen to still be in bellingham, would you?

wiring is intact and fine for all, clips are on tight. I don't have a TSRM, so as I search for one, how does the TSRM say to set up the TPS?

Both. Today I revved it and tried holding it at 6k, but it broke up, stumbled, and just fell on its face and died.

timing is fine, I triple checked when I put on the new timing belt.

it doesn't really breakup, it just revs very slowly and once it makes it to about 5500-6000, it just won't rev any higher. this is the first time it's ran in my car, so I really don't have any other accounts to go off. weather was like 50's/60's, sunny.

use a switched 12v from the round plug near your fuse box and wire that switched 12v into each black with yellow/orange wire on your coils.

yeah, I read through the thread and it sounds like it may be the solution to my problem.... I'm going to try it today as well as trying my 7M starter.

Not sure what size the wire is, but it was used to run the amplifier in the trunk, and the fibers in it are verrrry fine. I'll check the voltage at the starter terminal and get back to you.

splice something with 12V from the dash into that, +B1, and BATT, for testing. see where that gets you, that's what I had to do.
