For reference k&n doesnt make a drop in 1j supra filter.

I modded up a LS400 k&n to fit in my stock air box...Takes a few hrs with the dremel to get it to fit correctly but it will work.

Not too many people have done a vvti swap into a Supra because of the extra complication in the harness and the fact that the vvti has a more limited aftermarket.

I had a rattle with that identical setup when I was 7m too...Turnes out the DP was just rattling becuase I didnt anchor it to the transmission. Never did any harm, just had that rattle at a certain RPM. Also prob didnt help that I have a test pipe with no hanger. BTW, my car lowered with Tein...

:bigthumb: Yeah it was like $150 + the cost of the cam and front/rear main seals and a timing belt. I would do those too so you dont have to worry about that junk down the road, not to mention the seals on my motor were not that great because the engine sat for so long.

Yes call Jeff, he got mine to me in about 1 week. He was able to get me all the 1j seals and gaskets.
