Need some input on picking up this supra

looks good man i wouldn't doubt its worth the 500$ in parts alone. as for the tach in the rear view.. looks as if you know what rpm you're at when looking for cops in the rear view. otherwise it looks pretty useless and hideous... i can barely see my damn gps and its mounted right infront of me

whats a good price on a blown motor?

depending on what you plan on doing with the motor, i'd just buy a used JDM motor instead, but if you know what youre doing you can do the full build. a 7m-GTE can be gotten for free if you can find someone that wants one out of their garage, but I personally wouldn't pay more than a couple...

    coilovers

I went with JIC FLT-FAS series, they are great on the back roads and I was able to lower my car as much as I needed. They have adjustable dampening and camber plates. They overall offer a great ride, very stiff when they need to be, but not super bumpy when you hit the smallest bump...

    Jdm 7mge oil pan

I also bought a cressida motor, I was fortunate enough to have a perfect oil pan from my old 7M that I could swap on, but as everyone else said you need a oil pan from a Mk3. EDIT: didnt see it was for an RX-7, but I'd still try the Mk3 oil pan.

Single'd 1JZ MKIII vs Single GTE MKIV and NA-T MKIV

Nice ownage, but that poor MkIV would have put up a good fight. More interesting would be a picture of a 6'2" person squeezing in the back of one of our MkIII. My friend is 6'4" and he cant even get into the front seat without his knees being in the dash and in the shifter area hahaha.

Big vacuum leak after Catch Can Install

The O-rings were definitely a piece of crap, when I tightened the nipples on they would smoosh to the side and leave a gap. I tried to seal it with Teflon tape but I just ended up stripping the bungs. I guess welding is all I have left now, at least that's free.

Big vacuum leak after Catch Can Install

Yes this thing is a headache and I know exactly what youre saying, none of the nozzles stay in place. The silicone may be a good idea I may try that before I end up welding the thing shut. I'm pretty sure it has to be 100% sealed to produce perfect vacuum

Big vacuum leak after Catch Can Install

thats exactly how mine was set up. I think the catch can is faulty, cheap construction, the rubber o-rings that go on the interchangeable nozzles squish out of place, and the interchangeable nozzles dont tighten fully. once i put the hose on there and clamp it down they start moving all over...

Big vacuum leak after Catch Can Install

Ok I just got back from the doctors office and hooked the catch can back up. I found out where the hissing noise came from which was the two vacuum lines that go into the pcv valve were disconnected. However, after reconnecting them, and reconnecting the catch can, I still have terrible...

Big vacuum leak after Catch Can Install

will do. i put it back to stock and my idle is 400-600 rpm loping and a loss of power before 3500-4000 rpm. One of the heater hoses i bought may be a source of leaking as i heard a hissing noise comming from the pcv nipple on the TB. Q: what size heater hose did you use? i am trying...

Big vacuum leak after Catch Can Install

I just bought all new hoses so they are fresh, I am still using the stock crappy clamps that go on the PCV T however and those things suck. I noticed that oil was leaking from beneath one of the connections on the T. Looks as if I just need to go grab some worm clamps and get rid of that silly...

Big vacuum leak after Catch Can Install

I mounted it on the same bracket as the charcoal canister. I reversed the T at the PCV to TB and ran a single hose to the inlet of the catch can. I then ran a hose from the outlet of the catch can to the TB.

Big vacuum leak after Catch Can Install

So I installed my Catch Can today on my N/A, which before I did, I made sure every connection was perfectly tight and used teflon tape on the screws. After driving of about 2 miles my car started idling really high 1500-2000, and I pulled over re-routed the hoses back to the stock setting...

Proud Day, first motor swap completed!

Well today I finally got my new ECU, plugged it in and never heard such a wonderful sound in my life when my car started right up. I have been having alot of problems with the electrical and ended up shorting my ECU in the end, after alot of tech talk and probably bugging some of the admins...
