Here is another shot. Not the greatest but i'll do my best to explain. Coming from the main fuse box, there is a bundle of wires, and they split into two, one goes into the driver side fender, and the other goes out into the engine bay. This wire is the only free wire close to the battery...
hahaha thanks for the photo tips but its my cell phones camera...
this is a ground, it being that close to the battery i'm assuming its grounded to the driver side fender?
I cant figure out what this wire is for, it seems to come from the bundle of wires below the fuse box. I found another similar wire that appears to go behind the firewall into the car and is red, looks like its for the radio and I didnt mark that one so I assume its negative. I just did a swap...
i noticed the JDM motor had a cut ground which were both the white and brown wires combined into one connector... any info on that that one wire could be for that i wrote negative on, coming out from under the fuse box?
some pics of my old crank shaft, shot bearing yay!
now for the important stuff..
the first picture is of this negative line(what to?) i found that when i connected it to the negative side of the battery... (which i marked negative on the cable when i removed it) it ended up frying the wire...
i grounded the browns and whites to the lower intake manifold and it still won't turn over. i still cant find any info on what the white wires are for. i replaced the fuel pump relay as well
i am looking for the place to ground the 3 brown wires. the two whites i grounded to the frame, but i can't find a spot on the intake manifold(considering) its all alluminum. is there a specific spot that i'm not seeing or can they be anywhere? i tried on the tb but i never remember seeing a...
Unfortunately its pretty hard to take pics when i broke my camera dropping it into my engine bay a while back, but I am looking at my car right now and I had confirmed from another person that I did hook the ground to the starter instead of the intake manifold. The thing is there is a few...
i'll keep that in mind when i go back at it tomorrow, my first swap so put in alot of time already. there is also a circular connector near the battery that i cannot find a place for, i'm not sure if it is just a empty connector on the harness or if its actually for something as i dont remember...
I had just completed my swap today and went to start up my car and it cranks but it seems there there is no fuel being sent into the cylinders. I didnt mess with anything in the fuel system besides changing the fuel filter. I left the injectors, cold start, and fuel pressure regulator from the...
I recently bought a JDM 7M-GE complete block, and noticed that the throttle body was different from the one on my old motor as it lacked the two vacuum ports for the EGR system. I'm wondering if I delete the EGR system from the car would it make any difference as I'm not sure if the ECU from...
