How much have you spent on your MkIII

Well, roughly putt, it's worth about half a year of my sallary. For some people here even a whole year. Money isn't the real isue here. It's all about satisfaction. I don't regret any money spent on that thing. On the side note, it's not that big sum of money. If you try to distribute it over...

    7MGTE Ticking?

I'm betting on the valves. Or maybe, there's smth we forgot to tighten when we swaped engines. Later i will post a vid on the cold engine. it's more noticeble then. I don't think it's a r/k. It's not the same noise as i heard on other r/k's. Well, maybe it's a start of r/k. Time will tell.

    7MGTE Ticking?

The condition of the engine was/is unknown. I'm not thinking about overhaulin it even if it's a r/k. I have another engine, almost completely finished overhauled, sitting in the garage. Just wanted some other opinions regarding the engine noises.

    7MGTE Ticking?

All the gaskets on the exhaust related components are new. A few monts old. I'm pretty sure that the ticking is from the engine. My old engine did not tick. The new(swaped) one - does. Anyway, no big deal, apart from ticking, ewerything esle is fine. I will be running this engine only untill i...

    7MGTE Ticking?

Similar issue here. The ticking is loudest on start up. When it warms up a little it almost goes away. I'm hearing it a bit on acceleration. Still not sure from where exactly it comes from. I'm betting on the valves. As soon as they will be adjusted, i can confirm or decline that.
