Just changed out my seals but only put the seals in until they were flush on the outer edge because that's where the oe ones were.I noticed a slot in the casing that looked like an oil return maybe and was afraid to block it with the seal just in case.Did i i screw up and should have driven the...

Made a slide hammer out of a spare brake lathe shaft and a heavy cone...worked like a charm!...think i'm going to do other side as well...original seals...THANKS for the help guys!

Tried the double prybar tonight with no luck...looks like im makin a tool....

You mean thread it into the centre of the flange .....?

OK...see if i can get a smaller slide hammer for one more shot at it.......

Arrrgg..gettin frustrated now!....Slide hammer i borrowed way too long...tried a 2 foot long prybar..NO GO...I can move the stub in and out 1/4" but where it stops it has a heavy metallic "clink" sound to it....not like it's hitting a clip..What am i doing wrong?Do i have to keep turning it half...

So there is no lining things up or twisting as it is pulled?...just feels really solid...have new clips ready to go too..

I am trying to change out a leaky side/output seal...Finally got the cv shaft separated from the axle stub.A friend told me i should be able to pry the stub out easily..Not so much.Moves in and out about 3/8 of an inch but it sounds really solid on the outer edge.Do i need to line anything...

Did the air flow test on the cannister...in the tank inlet...air out the botom but don't feel any out of the purge nipple.Is the cannister toast?

Would not having a vented cap affect this?

So thats the bvsv in the stat housing....believe i can test that ya?

Just checked..not leaking now..Had a thought..I got a replacement tank...may be jdm as it doesn't have a threaded cap...its a two tab style i assume is non venting....Simple as that?....and that hose from the bottom of the cannister goes to nowhere?

Finally took the 88 turbo on a good long run....after being parked for a while i noticed a drip of gas at the right frame rail behind the wheel a bit.Low and behold i notice a loose steel line that attaches to a hose on the bottom of the cannister with fuel weepin out!Wtf...never noticed it...

Anyhoo...on to brakes,89 trim upgrade and licence plate install!

It's ALIVE!....combination of double checking all grounds,cds fuse in front fuse box,replaced ign 7.5 a fuse in kick panel(didn't look burnt) and new battery.Did the ecu just reset itself with the new battery?

main right to left hoe was plugged into top port on heater valve....scratches head....

Aha!thanks man...there was a large plastic clip over near the egr and taped to a large conduit of cables...looks like it or something it was touching burnt...still investigating that one...thanks for the info.

So should be a couple open or capped vac lines somewhere...

Still sorting out 88 7mgte.There is what looks like a vsv under a bracket to the right of the wiper motor.Right now there is a short peice of vacuum hose on the right port.Both ports point down.Obviously missing some hose or a part...where do the hoses go?......egr?.........
