I was searching youtube and found a 7mgte swaped into a 240sx and the maf was located in the charge pipe before the tb rather than before the turbo running on stock 7mgte electronics.Can this be done without serious running issues?I didnt think the kv maf would work as a bolow through setup...

There is a gain to not running it.:your intakemanifold and valves dont get clogged with garbage from the exhaust.Ive had no problem running no egr on my 7mgte,but idk if my ecu is a jdm one or not it may be.
Turned out my wastegate dosnt like to be shimmed,im running a manual boost valve and i can run 10lbs of boost no problem but above that i hit the fuel cut.
with the high compresson i cant seem to run more than 8psi.The afr's are good but need more octane.water meth injection is in my near future.At 8psi my car will spin the tires in second and when shifting hard into 3rd and i run riken 16x8s with decent tires.
Ive got the problem worked out.The maf was bad and the timeing was off because of a faulty tool. now im boostn happy its lots of fun at 10lbs of boost in a 2400lbs car.Thanks all of u for your helpful responces it set me in the right direction.
I just spent some time searching and reading and a few post i found say the lexus maf will cause the car to run lean and that the 550cc injectors are what is needed to get it to run right again.Somthing about how that sensor reads 25%less than the stock one so you need 25%more fuel to make up...
its just the lexus sensor in the supra maf,for whatever reason it causes the car to run lean.I put in the stock supra one and the afr drop to 12.00 under boost and stoped running super lean at idle.The lexus maf is larger right?The part number was one digit difference.
found the problem i have the wrong maf,the one i bought from a guy has a lexus sensor in it with a different part number.I ran the maf from my buddy car and she ran great.so now i gota get another maf and im short on $$$
Its stock as it can be i had to fab a few parts to fit it in a celica and fab my own intercooler pipeing.I would like to post pics but dont own a camera.i just dont get why this pos wont run the way it should when everything checks out fine.Its gotta be somthing simple staring me in the face but...
talking about the body plugs.bypassing the j tube did nothing noticable.Still lean im about to either run an extra injector on make a water meth injection set up.
far as wireing ive only managed to hook up three power wires to the ecu and wire up a tach,maybe im missing some other important wires?

carter hi flow pump,higher output than the walbro i cant remeber the specsbut i could look them up.The fuel pressure is good 38-44psi.Could the j tube in the fuel return be messing with the flow?
