+1 for 24mm. I also reccomend getting a breaker bar if you don't already have one. I replaced my tranny oil within the last year. and I gave myself a headache trying to loosen it with a regular socket wrench.

To topic starter - Are you sure the turbo is surging? The factory BOV gives off a fluttering sound, different than most aftermarket BOV's. Is it possible you just got the sounds confused?
