Hey I'm slightly new to supras and slightly new to the forums and was wondering how to see peoples mods lists and or if someone could give me a mod list and a horsepower/ torque rating. I would really appreciate it. I have a supra that I want to build but am not sure what all to do. Money is not...
So I have code 52. Yes That one. And yes I have looked and search first. but let me explain.
I had code 52 so I bought two brand new sensors. Then wound up having to replace the engine so I got the only engine I could (GE).
So now I have one knock sensor hole. So I tried some things...
If the knock sensors work on oscillation and not resistance would it not be true that as long as there is not a knock (so no oscillation) there should not be a signal at all? Which would mean I shouldn't get the code. I'm not saying that's how it is. I'm just trying to make logical sense of the...
I have two brand new ones. Both throw code. The wiring was checked and I rewired again for the hell of it. The shielding is grounded on one side and it is 100 percent shielded. The core isn't grounding and the shielding has 0 ohms resistance to the battery. The engine does not knock or tap...
Really? I may need to check that. Thanks. I have found and replaced my AFM and housing is stock again.Still get code 52, but I will definitely check that wire for that shielding.
Theodore, I stay off of DIP a lot though. Mine is a red targa top. I'll check with the stock housing thanks for the info and the offer. I used the stock wire for about an inch or so from the ecu plug.
A regular gauge on the stock O2 until I get a better one. If it runs lean it will read lean no matter how far the gauge reads.
On this gauge it just reads all the way leaned out when I get out of range. In which case I don't care how lean it is, there is obviously a problem.
On another note...
I actually have replaced the fuel pump (Walbro 255lph) then retuned the pressure and it helped a lot. However I need to ground the shielding and I'm waiting on injector money.
No I'm not using a wideband I have equipment just good enough to tell it is going lean. but it doesn't even really leave...
No engine management. The AFM is it now. The code 52 never changes the way it drives and won't go away. No no I will not be posting that thread because as long as I open the waste gate not to boost it doesn't run lean. So under normal conditions I'm fine to drive it. A/F only goes lean at about...
I have done a complete rewire on the knock sensors with 100% shielded cable and added new knock sensors. I adjusted the fuel pressure and it help a ton but it is still lean.
The AFM is cause the lean issure now but was not causing it to be as bad as it was. I adjusted the pressure from 36 to 24.
I just got my GTE running and it idles smooth (too high but smooth), and runs smooth. However, when ever I get into boost it starts leaning out bad.
It pulls strong but then it start to gets weak when the turbo start spooling. I haven't been able to figure it out.

I got the information here:

The wires have been re-run and the sensor replaced. I first replaced it with other used sensors, then just got a new one. It runs fine though is the thing. (NOW)
All codes fixed exept the knock sensor gives a codes after it runs lean under boost (obviously). After cleaning and rebuilding all of the tank pieces and rewiring the afm, knock, tps, temp sensors, and most grounds it rans much much better. I later found out that the fuel pump is actually not...
Sorry it took me so long. I have been playing with it for a while so I have become apt at reading the codes. I am not sure exactly what cable I used though. Yes I Reset the ECU
