The back of the projector is hitting the bracket preventing it from sitting correctly. I need to trim the bracket a little bit so it can sit right. Just getting opinions from what I have right now.

Any 96+ GM car or truck would have what you need. Try the supercharged 3800 series 2 engines. They are the quickest responding that I have found.

Do a compression check. That would be the easiest thing to do and you would know for sure without guessing. If a cylinder doesnt check out do a leakdown test and you will know where the compression leak is..
