Thanks for the offer and I have looked your writeup over a couple of times. Mine wont move so I just ran threaded rod under the motor to hold it in place and not vibrate. TSX are great projectors and I have 2 sets sitting here I have no plans for. Was thinkin about fogs but I have 3 sets of...
Its very easy to make angel eyes and I most likely will make some up and see what they look like. The way I am making mine I made some plastic trim up besides the stock pieces to make them look finished. When they are done this time (3rd version) I will post pics. But there will be a set of...
I am not doing flushmounts. They are going to permanatly mounted to make them look like they stopped about halfway. I am not worried about the flashing as I have been doing HID retrofits for a long time and never had a problem. I did once and it was the ballast that went out. I live in the...
They arent to low to be legal. I changed to a FX-R projector and have some pics. Didnt turn out as good as I wanted it to so now I am going to go with 4 Hella HID modules. Hopefully getting all the parts in by mid next week and hopefully done building them by begining on february. The...
The rack needs fluid in it. I dont think it would like not having lubrication. I n my eclipse the racj started to seize up. I looped the lines to the stock resivoiur and filled it up and 135k miles of trouble free use.
A retrofit is your only option when it comes to HID's. FX'R would be the best bet. Amazing spread and amazing colorband at cutoff. I got my old setup for 325 for the bulbs ballasts and projectors. Just gotta hunt for deals. www.theretrofitsource.com is a good place to get the projectors...
How is the main cable coming from the battery to the fuse box?? It does have a fusable link in it. Mine broke and I was going nuts til I saw it spark. The was broken cuz the PO didnt have a battery tie down. Didnt break from a load. So check that wire.
E-85 is a great fuel. Its basically streel legal race gas. A local guy has a Mk4 and has been running E85 for about a year now. Its all about the tune and A/F. He was making around 800 rwhp with stock internals. Not sure on the boost levels but he is also running meth. I can see if I can...
Your in rochester then right?? If you are you can come measure my 90 turbo yourself (ill help you as much as I can) if youd like. I can have it up on stands in a garage for you. Just hook me up for a discount if you end up making them. I am in webster off bay road. I dont have a cover on...
I know. Im not asking what the performance difference is. I am wondering if I take my valve covers off how would I know if I have a N/A cam or a turbo cam. I have read a ton of threads. Just want to know how to physically tell the difference so I know if its the cams causeing the power loss...
How do I tell rear gear ratios?? Sticker anywhere?? His was a stock 89 turbo and I have a stock 90 turbo. I have a narrowband the PO put in. Just havent taken it out yet. Havent checked cam timing but ignition timing is fine. Fuel pressure is good. We both have autometer gauges. Some have...
I bought a 90 turbo with a rebuilt engine. The PO told me he put N/A cams in the car because it was worth 10 hp. Well looking around the site and from racing another stock 89 supra and once I hit about 3800 rpms he took off and i seemed to slow down I know this not to be true. I am wondering...
Sorry it took me so long to get back to this. Had some family issues but now I am back trying to get the supra working correctly again. Where would I find the plugs referenced in the writeup??
Ah. Cool. You ever see a white 90 targa with a HID TSX retro and yellow HID fogs thats most likely me. If you are in rochester most of the time check out www.roclife.org I go by turboguy327 on there as well. There are 2 MKIII's and 4 MkIV's. 2 of them are on E85 with over 800 rwhp. We have...
