thanks man. where did you have to go for the lug nuts? ...i really want to run the dished 10" rears, which would stick out .5" and a mil further than the 9" ones. would you call this possible if i pulled/rolled the rear fenders based on how your wheels fit? also, what tire size and suspension...
hey guys,
I'm going to get a set of saleen sc replicas from teh ebay. I am faced with the choice of either running 17x9 +24 all around with a staggered tire setup, or purchasing an actually staggered set with the 17x10 +25 dished rears. This is gonna push the rear wheels out past the...
Hey guys,
I'll be tearing the head off my motor soon, and I'm going to need a new gasket set for the 7mgte. Anybody know a shop or retailer that sells a quality set? or tried one from ebay that seemed to include nice gaskets?

Hey guys,
It just occurred to me that I'm running a rebuilt motor already, (purchased from a member here) which means the head at LEAST has already been shaved, at LEAST once.. When I crack the motor open and measure thicknesses, what would you guys call a no-fly zone for missing material in...
well, i'm not running a standalone, and dont have adjustable cam gears lol.. if i had time to put THAT much work into the car, i would simply pull the block and have it machined and run a MHG. The reason I'm going composite is so it (theoretically) will seal against an unplaned block surface...
aksing this in multiple places:
if i have the head machined for flatness, doesnt that mean that the stock gasket will be too thin in order to maintain a safe compression ratio? and do they make thicker composite gaskets to make up for lost head material?
Thanks,
Aaron
but what about running a composite gasket with arp hardware? can i use my stock thickness toyota gasket if i have the head machined for flatness? guessing no, since there will be material thickness missing from the equation. are there thicker composite gaskets on the market to make up for lost...
Hey kenny,
I'm currently leaning toward using a stock Toyota HG with arp's on my car. I never installed arp's in the first place, so I'm assuming that's why the HG blew..(duh.) I'm running a 57 trim ct26 at about 10psi. Would you say that's too much power/boost for the stock gasket/ arp combo...
Hello fellow coolant burners,
Recently, i blew a head gasket beating on my car during the last 100 miles of a 350 mile road trip. Didn't realize I was blowing smoke until i hit city lights, and as far as i can tell, i "only" drove the car about 20 miles after i knew i had a problem. The car has...
