Yeah let us know how that V8 build progresses. I'M SERIOUS! I'm considering doing one myself in the future...with the original car it came with...hmmm...
Yeah check the shoes first. I gotta do mine myself. But I did adjust the cable at the handle. It used to go all the way up and now mine goes up 6 or 7 clicks - no more.
It used to roll on hills but on a decent hill it will hold if i pull it up all the way to 7 clicks. But i still park it in...
Yes. It will fix it. You're exactly right about the fog light relay not getting the 12V signal. But imho, you should try Black89T's suggestion above. A more solid connection.
I think I figured out why mine aren't working now. I believe my fog light relay blew due to a bad alternator. Right...
Yeah my N/A is FUN ON THE SNOW W/O SNOW TIRES N STOCK SAWBLADES!! But that's of course pedal control was the key, but when I hit it too hard (in the right places) then it was REAL FUN!! But if I had a turbo, I wouldn't drive it in the snow w/o snow tires in stock trim. But I say 400 or so hp...
I feel bad for him whenever he has to change those plugs!! That hot pipe running over the wires AND the upper radiator hose CANNOT be good. I guess he gets less lag that way though. But the "sleeper look" goes out the window with the hood he had to put on it to clear the pipes.
The SC300 is a nice car, especially with the manual trans! That's a [B]RARE[B]find. Don't let it pass you by. You'll regret it. Don't give up on your Supra either - at least not yet - because you may regret that too. I'm with guyana00. Get the SC up and running, and build it as time and money...
there you go. Plus you can't go wrong if you get equal or more power with lighter weight! But if you gotta go to another manufacturer for it, hey, do what u gotta do. I read about a Toyota Cresta gutted for drifting with a built SR20 that made over 500hp! :icon_excl
I'm not an expert, but u asked if we like it. I say what ever works, but with that hop pipe running RIGHT next to the ps fluid reservoir, won't it boil the fluid? It looks like oil filter relocation may be your best option. If you could run without ps, then the pump AND reservoir wouldn't be an...
And i want a turbo motor too. I just don't have the money right now.I may get another GE just to do the HG on and I can just swap motors instead of having it off the road for too long.
Wow Dylan. I'm up on Smokey Nagata, but I didn't see that DVD with the V12 swapped MK4. I'm kind of surprised about the 276hp though. Ya'll told me somn new! IJ you're a big fan of big power/big engine swaps! I ain't mad at u bro! Me personally, I prefer reliability, low cost and good power...
Thank you and I agree with you and Dlyan. I WAS a fan of the LSx motors myself because of the power output - especially in a RX7 - when I read about it. Because i'm into just about EVERYTHING. But If I had to choose a V8, I'd choose a 1UZ, or the VH45...in a Nissan, of course! Despite the work...
BTW...Sorry about the long post! That's a testy subject for me and I JUST HAD TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT IT! ESPECIALLY WHEN I SAW THAT QUOTE. LORD KNOWS HOW I FEEL ABOUT THEM!!
I totally agree with you 100%!! I believe they made some GOOD, QUALITY cars some time ago...until 1973. Then it went all kaput after the oil embargo and smog regulations. Then, they went and built CRAP for the next 35 years and expect us to pay a cheap or decent price for them, but REPEATEDLY...
Yeah queens i was thinking about doing mine with the motor in, bcuz I don't have a hoist yet. But...I was also thinking of getting another motor and doing the hg on THAT one and a hoist and replace it. My back was hurting putting my HID's in so i can imagine what a hg job can do to it!! But when...
