I shimmed the wastegate on my mine before I got the boost controller and with only intake and full exhaust I was running ten pounds. Didnt mess with the spring at all. There are many ways to do alot of things. Some right, some wrong and all up to whoevers car it is.
I like to have comeplete...
Yes look up videos on you tube on how to set up AEM Tru Boost and you can watch them go through the settings. It is a pretty nice unit. It does alot of things and its all in a gauge in my gauge pod so it is clean set up and saves space.
Okay no problem. What ended up happening was I torqued the nut down on the top and put everything back together even all the interior pieces in the rear before I set the car back on the ground. What I should have done was drive it around let all the new parts settle and seat themself then go...
The first step for me would be Supporting mods such as Intake, Exhaust, Downpipe, Intercooler. These few mods allow better breathing. The quicker the air can escape, the quicker it can come in. etc you get the point.
The second thing is something I have done. Im not sure about all boost...
okay so I just installed the Pro kit. I think I am confused on how to adjust the little setting on the top for the TEMS. I think this may be my problem. Every time I hit a bump I can actually hear the bump. Just a small bump and it sounds like my car is going to fall apart. What are the settings...
Hmmm. This is wierd. Mine is always the other way around. When the car is lifted up in the air the tire hits the strut but as soon as I lower it and put it back on the ground the spacing becomes about 1/2 inch.
In a situation like that. Your taking a HUGE risk. You dont know how much they overheated it. You could pull the head off and it could be cracked. Also just because the book value says 3 doesnt mean you will get that for it. It has alot of mileage so depending on how the body and interior look...
I would have to say somewhere around 12k on this supra. I got it with 30 thousand miles on it though and the cost of the car was 7k. Im not counting gas and oil changes and stuff in my total price.
Yep destrux, that is exactly what I was trying to say. LOL. It is all personal opinion. I definately agree if you look at inflation cost ect that the charger is a better deal. All I was saying with a few thousand dollars and a 24 year old car, you can hand a charger its own ass and most vehicles...
Yeah that price is a little off. My dad bought one brand new off the showroom floor in 1989 for like 27,000. Yes that was a little pricey back then but when I said what I said I was talking about price of how much you pay for an MKIII today vs. a charger or challenger today. I was talking about...
Yeah considering your stock its okay. Just think about how much he paid for his car VS how much you payed for yours. That is what I always do.
Anyways with a few mods you would have got him. My mods list is below and I hand v8 chargers there own ass all the time.
The only one that got me...
Well atleast you figured it out, hopefully atleast part of it. Glad to see your taking the time to go ahead and clean the other calipers too. Brakes are one thing you definately want to be right. Good Luck.
Being pissed off doesnt really help anything. On the other hand people suck and they are dishonest. It happens all the time. Make sure next time you see receipts or proof of the build.
As long as the wheel isnt scraping the housing a little bit of play is fine. Going to need to be replaced...
