sorry to say but the one 1j is a mid to top end monster and it has better mid range power than the 7m. before you do any upgrades to a 7m, your gona spend upto a grand just to make the motor reliable. without gaining any performance upgrades. so go with something that is already reliable. and...
1jz was the best designed head for a starting point so of course the 2j will flow better it has the blue print of 1jz design. as i'm a beast athlete my son will be better..
that is what i am talking about, i was getting my material together to show the ports and compare the two. which i may say the 1jz ports are bigger than the 2js. i know that the 2j is better than the 1j simply because it is the second gen of the 1j. i only mean that the 1j was better cause the...
T70 turbo that's what you expect for a powerband. I thought you was running a 67 mm or smaller. Impressive really bro I retract from my previous post..
Talking about stock to stock. And I was referring to what was said a few pages back when they were going back n forth about 1j 2j. Just stating how peak power no matter the build the 1j handles it better at peak or high rpms
Yes they are great platforms totally agree. But there is a but, peak power for the one jay it handles more then the 2j.And that's because of o the the short rods and head design. Which the 2j was piggyback off the 1j design that Yamaha help make and stamp.

yea i agree thats a pretty sluggish powerband.. no real power til about 5k.. all in all nice build very mpressive power. just wait til mines is done up..
