600 rpms o make a difference causeif you can spool a turbo faster from 5600 rpms to 4900 rpms you have more power a Lil bit longer

Yes they are great platforms totally agree. But there is a but, peak power for the one jay it handles more then the 2j.And that's because of o the the short rods and head design. Which the 2j was piggyback off the 1j design that Yamaha help make and stamp.

The 1j has the better head, and the 2j has the better block. Better turbo cause there steel in usdm and more ccs in the injector displacement
