There is a guy over here in the Atlanta area selling a 1JZ block, 2JZ head, and a 2JZ ECU etc.. Basically everything needed for a 1JZ/2JZ frankenmotor MK3. But my question is are any of you guys running this swap, and have you heard of running a 1JZ with a 2JZ ECU? And for you 1JZ and 2JZ...

Glad to see things coming together. I'm in the process of getting an mk3 and I'm doing the same. Have any of you heard of a 1jz with a 2jz ecu? A guy that was selling a 1jz here in georgia said it's the best thing to do

Yeah that is very true. I'm forgetting these cars are so old. My friend just got a stripped out mk3 rolling shell that she is putting a 2JZ in, and then I had a friend who put a 1JZ in his. He had way too many problems with it all the time though..

Hmm. I'll have to read up on 2jz swaps a little more.. There are a few more I'm going to look at soon. A guy on CL has one with a 1JZ swap, I want to look at it just to see how well it was put together... Would you say the 7M is hit or miss then? Sorry for all the annoying questions, lol...

I used to have a ford that would litteraly accept anything that fit in the ignition, If only you were that lucky.. But I'm assuming if you basically hot wire the ignition you could push start it.. I'll look around for a wiring diagram and PM you what I find

My old neighbor had one and I shot it at a range once. It felt pretty nice and It was pretty easy to handle. Not too familar with prices lol, BUT from my expierience I liked it. It felt like something I'd buy if I could own one. Oh well, 2 more years..

I've pretty much figured what I'm going for. MK3 with r154 like you said, and buy a 2JZ from the motor place about 20 mins away, do a rebuild on it, and go for twins and go for around 450whp as a dd. Why do you say single? I wish people took better care of these cars. They really are great...
