The only reason I can think of not venting to the atmosphere is if you drive on a track. I know a buddy of mine that just clamped two hoses to the PCV ports and ran them over and down beside the intake manifold. He had a Greddy catch can but couldn't get it plumbed correctly and instead did...
I understand it's just an idiot light, but it's better than nothing. That's why I said if you're not going to tune the motor yourself it's an option. I personally will go with a wideband, but this is a really cheap option for people that just want to know if they're in the "danger zone."
The lift was a left a little desired. The boom wasn't quite long enough. We just put a piece of cardboard between the hoist and bumper to keep from trading paint.
Are you going to tune the motor yourself or are you just using the A/F meter for a reference?
If it's the latter, i would use the a/f meter from 3 bar racing. http://www.3barracing.com/product_3.htm It's relatively cheap and let's you know when you're lean, rich, and on the money. Plus it...
I just wanted to thank you for letting me help slide the motor and tranny in the car. Well, I say slide; but there was more cussing and trying not to rub the engine hoist on the front bumper. Speaking of which I have a buddy with a paint shop in grenada. I'm trying to talk my g/f into coming...
This i understand, but it wouldn't do them any good on a back road in the middle of nowhere. Which is where i live. I'm just saying that wasn't the smartest thing the PD could have done. Now, if they would have done a driving demo on spinning evaders and what not it would've been that much...
The only reason a show like that doesn't exist is so some mouth breathing moron thinks he can out run the cops because he saw it on TV.
At one of the local autocrosses, a coupld officers showed up and thought they would show us how it's done in a patrol car. I wasn't very impressed by...
I was digging yesterday for ddp information and most people that were getting boost creep (maybe another issue all together~read:i'm a noob) had shims that were causing it. And/or the waste gate flap was hitting the down pipe; fixed by just grinding a little on the DDP. If that didn't fix the...
i apologize for thread jacking. Now, it dies when i go from speed to idle, i.e. when i pull up to a stop sign or a traffic light, and idles around 500 now. This has me thinking it's either the ISC or the MAF.
I found some cracked hoses and replaced them, but it didn't fix the problem.
It's not throwing any codes. And the it idles high ~1600 until it gets warmed up; and then the problem starts.
My car just started surging from ~1200 to 1700rpm at idle. It's the weirdest thing i've ever seen. Because it was idling fine earlier. At first I thought the car was searching for idle because it's colder than it was this afternoon. But once it was up to operating temperature, the problem...
Is it your daily mode of transportation? If so I see there point.
Just kidding. I've done the same thing. Well, maybe not 10k worth but enough. Plus where are you going to find a new car worth anything for 10K?
I didn't really know where to put this so I posted it here.
What does everyone use to keep their paint looking nice and shiny. What brand, products, and procedures. My Supra is the first car I've owned worth the time and effort to wash, polish, and wax.
